Remember when he took us out back, at the old 11761 Wembley address, in order to prepare for a camping trip. He had sawed the backyard fence off on two parts, so we could put it on rollers and move it away...so we could hook up the Oldsmobile, all brown and tan panels, with Lil' Loafer. Wait....it was a green and brown panel Chevrolet station wagon. Right? Anyway, we would hook up the Lil' Loafer to the family car, and go on road trips. Very cool....when Dad needed our help on moving the fence, he'd say in his authoritative and sonorous voice, "I need some strong backs and weak minds..." He meant us. You, me, and Bill.

Bob:
Funny story and memories. Interesting that I have shared with people that one line many times and just a few days ago repeated it.
The wagon could have been either the brown one (with windows he spray tinted himself) or the green with brown panels, both Chevys, which he loved.
Another one of his many one-liner gems, "Good enough for government work."
