This is the email my niece Laci sent me after I had surgery last summer.

I'm glad I had that surgery, even though I wound up in the ICU.

If I hadn't, I wouldn't have this treasure to keep and remember her by.

Such a beautiful, beautiful soul.  

Laci, rest in peace.  I pray we meet again someday.

Hi Uncle Bob, this is Laci.  I just read your email and I am so sorry for what you have been through.  I loved your positive attitude and I feel the same way.  My neurologist is amazing too.  I want you to know I am going to be praying for you.  I was just looking at pictures of you the other day of when you came over to our house when I had Leukemia and made my day.  I wish I could have been there for you like you were for me.  I hope you will heal quickly.  Hang in there it gets better.

Laci is/was an amazing gift given by our creator and the below helps me focus on what was given, rather than what was so tragically taken.
